Assessment criteria
| Assessment | Operational meaning |
|---|---|
| Favourable | Observed winds and sea state are relatively modest, route-side observations are reasonably consistent, and no major adverse trend is apparent. |
| Caution | Moderate wind, gusts, building conditions, uneven observations or forecast uncertainty deserve additional attention. |
| Challenging | Elevated wind, gusts or sea state indicate a more demanding route environment. |
| Demanding | Strong observed wind or gust values indicate substantially more demanding conditions. |
| Extreme | Very strong observed wind or gust values are present. This is the highest descriptive assessment produced by the intelligence engine. |
