Whale reports supplement the Marine Intelligence Center with recent on-water observations. Reports may be submitted from a phone using the device location, or by selecting the observation position directly on the map.
Precise submitted coordinates remain in the internal archive.
The public sightings API deliberately reduces coordinate
precision before displaying a marker.
